Oppresive taxes are never appropriate, especially on Bourbon!

While we worry of the (likely) federal tax increase on the horizon, here's one that hits close to home for yours, truly:

Members of Kentucky Legislature are working to significantly raise taxes on all alcohol sold in Kentucky. If they are successful, the tax could go into effect as early as this week. [BourbonBlog.com] just interviewed President of the Kentucky Distillers' Association Eric Gregory and he explained how damaging this could be to the bourbon industry, Kentucky AND why your urgent action is needed. I invite you to listen to the interview on BourbonBlog.com. Even for those who are outside Kentucky, this could have a negative impact on the industry.

Charlie, I respectfully ask you to please consider calling 800-372-7181 and tell them vote NO ALCOHOL TAX.

BourbonBlog.com will continue to follow this story and keep you informed.
