I have resisted posting this question, but have decided the discussion potential is worth raising:
We know that the 17 year old daughter of Alaska Governor Sarah Palin is pregnant, and we've been introduced to the daughter's fiance', Levi Johnson.
A lot of buzz in media circles around how Bristol is proof that abstinence-only education doesn't work.
Now I have no inside information, no connection to the Palin family, so make no assumption after you read this question:
Imagine Bristol Palin gives an interview, say in a magazine. Say she tells the interviewer (and, by extension, the world) that her mom and she had the talk. That her mom did tell her to save herself for marriage, that abstinence is best. But then Bristol says that she was in love, and she was 17, so she threw caution to the wind.
Now here's the kicker:
Can you imagine the firestorm if Bristol says So we used a condom we got from the School Nurse, but it obviously didn't work. What would be the media reaction?
