Dinesh D'Souza on Ronald Reagan & Cold War

Mr. D'Souza recounts the events put into motion by President Reagan that led to the defeat of the Soviet Union.

I present the words that marked the end of the U.S.S.R. since I know how lacking the present US Public Education system is, I realize many under age 30 have no clue what happened in the 1980s.

Dinesh D'Souza on Ronald Reagan & Cold War on National Review Online: " 'General Secretary Gorbachev, if you seek peace, if you seek prosperity for the Soviet Union and Eastern Europe, if you seek liberalization: Come here to this gate! Mr. Gorbachev, open this gate! Mr. Gorbachev, tear down this wall!' Not long afterward, the wall came tumbling down and the most formidable empire in world history collapsed so fast that, in Vaclav Havel's words, 'we had no time even to be astonished.' "
