Well it's been just over a week since this Blog was born and let me tell you: the response has been nothing short of nondescriptive. I am even anticipating a letter for a Mr. Richard Feder of Fort Lee, NJ.

A personal note: even in the world of Defense Contracting, even during wartime, lay-offs happen, as it did today. A friend and co-worker was down-sized today, and it's never a happy day when that happens. The good news this will open doors to greater possibilites. I raise a toast to Beth.

Time for lunch....

Blogger is interesting... haven't figured out why the HOME link won't go to my home, page but I am working on it.

Back in the day when I first created a web page, I used trusty NOTEPAD and coded the HTML by hand. While I learned a lot about HTML that way, I've grown fat and lazy and these days rely on MS FrontPage for my editing. AOL in their infinite wisdom won't support FrontPage Extensions, so I am here.

And please... if you are about to flame me on the disadvantages of FrontPage, of the superiority of Dream Weaver, etc. etc. etc. save your bandwidth. FrontPage is what I use, and that's the end of it. I won't criticise you, please extend me the same courtesy.

Nobody asked me, but....


With the above phrase I begin my Web Log (or 'blog' for short). It is here where I hope to post my thoughts about whatever is happenign this day, this week ranging on topics from the news to poitics to sports (baseball generally) to work to life to whatever is on my mind at that moment.

Some of it will be boring (OK, maybe more than just 'some'), and some may be interesting (OK, maybe less than 'some'). If you do not like what you read, you are free to click the HOME button on your browser, or create your own Blog at www.blogger.com ... it's up to you.
